Strength, Balance & Mobility
Personalized movement to help you feel stronger, move with greater ease, and navigate everyday life with confidence.
Movement should support your life, not require you to fit into a particular exercise style, routine, or level of ability.
At Mind Soma Health, private sessions are designed around you—your body, your experience, your goals, and how you’re feeling on any given day.
Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve balance, increase flexibility, maintain mobility, or simply feel more comfortable and confident in your body, we’ll develop an approach that meets you where you are.
And as your needs evolve, your practice can evolve with you.
A Personalized Approach to Movement
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to movement.
Some people benefit from traditional yoga. Others may need greater emphasis on functional strength, balance, mobility, or gentle stretching. Many benefit from a combination.
Rather than following a predetermined routine, I draw from years of experience teaching yoga, fitness, stretching, and body-centered practices to create sessions that support your individual needs.
Together, we can work toward:
- Building functional strength and stability
- Improving balance, coordination, and confidence
- Increasing flexibility and joint mobility
- Reducing everyday stiffness and muscular tension
- Supporting posture and body awareness
- Improving comfort and ease with everyday activities
- Supporting relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being
Sessions are accessible to a wide range of ages, abilities, and experience levels. No previous yoga or fitness experience is required.
Movement Designed Around You
Your session may incorporate one or several approaches, depending on your goals, abilities, preferences, and how you’re feeling.
Yoga & Mindful Movement
Gentle or dynamic yoga, breathwork, and body awareness practices to support flexibility, strength, balance, and relaxation.
Stretching & Mobility
Targeted stretching and mobility exercises to improve range of motion, ease stiffness, and support greater comfort in everyday movement.
Functional Strength & Balance
Personalized exercises to develop strength, stability, coordination, and confidence in everyday activities—from climbing stairs to getting up from the floor.
These approaches aren’t mutually exclusive. Your sessions may combine elements of all three, and the emphasis can shift as your needs evolve.
You don’t have to decide which approach is right for you. That’s something we’ll explore together.

When the Traditional Approach Isn’t the Right Fit
Sometimes, the most effective approach isn’t the one someone originally came looking for.
A longtime client initially came to me for private yoga. As we worked together, I recognized that certain traditional yoga movements weren’t appropriate for her individual needs.
Rather than continuing with a conventional yoga format, I developed a personalized practice that brought together the elements most beneficial to her.
Her sessions now begin with breathwork and centering, transition into a combination of strength, mobility, balance, and functional exercises, and conclude with the restorative benefits of savasana.
The result is a practice she genuinely enjoys and looks forward to each week.
It’s a wonderful example of something I believe deeply:
The practice should adapt to the person, not the other way around.
Your Practice, Evolving With You
Your needs won’t necessarily be the same from one session to the next—or one season of life to another.
You may begin with stretching and gradually incorporate strength training. You may want to focus on balance and stability, or find that restorative yoga is especially beneficial during a stressful period.
We can adjust the pace, intensity, exercises, and overall approach as your goals, abilities, and circumstances evolve.
Some days, you may feel ready to challenge yourself. Other days, a gentler practice may be more appropriate.
Both have value.
The goal is to develop a sustainable, enjoyable movement practice that supports your health, well-being, and quality of life.
Experience Matters. So Does Attentiveness.
With more than 2,000 private and group yoga classes taught, advanced yoga teacher training, and extensive experience working with individuals of varying ages, abilities, and physical considerations, I bring both technical knowledge and a highly individualized approach to every session.
I pay attention to how you move, how you respond, and what may need to be adjusted. Equally important, I listen to what you’re experiencing and what matters most to you.
Whether you’re beginning a movement practice, returning after time away, or looking for a more personalized alternative to traditional fitness classes, you’ll receive attentive instruction tailored to your needs.

Begin Where You Are
You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or experienced to begin.
You also don’t need to know exactly which type of movement is right for you.
We’ll start with your goals, your current abilities, and what you’d like to improve, then build a practice that works for you.
Private sessions are available individually or on an ongoing basis, with the flexibility to adapt your approach over time.
